Body Massage

Being able to perform Body Massage is an essential service for all Holistic Therapists and a pre-requisite to many other courses.This course covers everything you will need to offer a professional body massage and includes a practical training session and assessment.

This Gti Body Massage course includes reception, consultation and ventilation.  It also covers anatomy & physiology, contra-indications and contra-actions, skin conditions, preparing for treatment, massage techniques and a full body massage routine.

Six of the modules are also assessed at your practical training center.  You will have the opportunity to practice the routine before being assessed by your tutor.  On completion of the course, successful students will receive a Gti Body Massage certificate.

Indian Head Massage

This course will teach you everything you need to know about offering a professional Indian head massage and includes a practical training session and assessment. The course covers the technique for upper back, shoulder, upper arm, neck, scalp and face massage. It also includes the theory behind Indian Head Massage such as the history of the treatment, principles of Ayurveda, Marma points and Chakras. Reception, consultation and aftercare are covered as well as contra-indications to Indian Head treatment. Photographs and videos make the course engaging and informative to give you the confidence to perform a professional Indian Head Massage.

Foot Reflexology

Reflexology is an holistic treatment that encourages the body to balance and heal itself through the application of specific pressure points on the feet. These points are called reflexes and they reflect, or mirror, the organs and structures of the body as well as a person’s emotional health.This course will teach you everything you need to know in order to carry out a professional reflexology treatment. The theory is completed online in your own time before a practical training session is arranged with your tutor.

The Gti Foot Reflexology course covers all the necessary anatomy and physiology which you will need to know in order to perform a reflexology treatment and so you do not need to hold a separate anatomy and physiology qualification. The course also covers reception and consultation, the history of reflexology, contra-indications to treatment and aftercare advice. The course provides thorough procedure details with clear images which show you how to read and interpret the feet as well as how to perform the relaxation and pressure techniques.

Students also receive a copy of the Guild’s full color 336 page Reflexology text book which normally costs EC$72.00. As well as this students will also receive a DVD which details all the reflexology techniques featured in the course which they can refer back to whilst practicing.

Facial Treatment

This course prepares you to be able to carry out a professional facial and includes a practical training session and assessment. The Gti Facial Treatment includes reception, consultation and ventilation. It also covers essential anatomy and physiology, contra-indications and contra-actions, skin conditions, skin analysis, preparation, skin types and product selection, preparing for treatment, technique and aftercare. This facial treatments covers the procedures for performing a superficial and deep cleanse, tone, steam, extract, massage, mask and moisturizing. It also includes comprehensive anatomy and physiology images and information. Health and safety relating to facial treatments is covered as well as skin conditions, skin analysis and advice about different skin types as well as correct product selection.

Students also receive a PDF manual which can be referred back to after training to ensure consistency and accuracy. All sixteen modules for theory and examinations are completed online with online tutorial support where required. You will also complete a one day assessment with your tutor. On completion of the course, successful students will receive a GTi Facial certificate.
